Souther Colorado Community College (SCCC) A Division of Pueblo Community College

SCCC History

On January 30, 2008 San Juan Basin Technical College and Pueblo Community College signed a Memorandum of Understanding forming an educational partnership to “solidify and enhance the working and long-term relationships between the two institutions…and to maximize efficiencies and resources as appropriate.” This merger represents a unique opportunity to increase the number of programs that both colleges have to offer, and will result in seamless pathways leading to higher education and job opportunities for students.

On May 20, 2009 Governor Bill Ritter signed into law legislation that officially merged PCC’s Southwest Campus and SJBTC into Southwest Colorado Community College. SCCC will operate as a division of Pueblo Community College.
